Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal disorder that can affect ovulation,
fertility, menstrual cycles, and overall health. At our clinic, we provide personalized
diagnosis, lifestyle guidance, medication, and advanced fertility treatments to help women
manage PCOS and improve their chances of a healthy pregnancy.
Signs and symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) can vary from woman to
woman. A diagnosis of PCOS is usually made when at least two of the following
signs are present:
-
Irregular Periods: Infrequent, irregular, or prolonged menstrual cycles are
the most common symptom of PCOS. Women may have fewer than nine periods a year, more than 35
days between periods, or experience unusually heavy menstrual bleeding.
-
Excess Androgen: Higher levels of male hormones (androgens) may cause
physical signs such as excessive facial or body hair (hirsutism), severe acne, and
male-pattern hair loss.
-
Polycystic Ovaries: The ovaries may become enlarged and contain multiple
small follicles surrounding the eggs, which can interfere with regular ovulation.
